rio receiver

This handy box is basically an ethernet-to-audio converter with infra-red and front panel controls (including a small dot-matrix LCD, some buttons and a knob). It contains a stereo amplifier suitable for driving speakers directly. Because it contains no local storage, it must obtain all its running software and music files over the network.

Here are some files I have used locally:

httpd.conf - configure apache to serve the music files
receiver-dell-cd.arf - the supplied player software; the rio receiver mounts this as an nfs filesystem.
rioserve_0_20b-llk-ro.tar.gz - ?
rioserve_0_20b-llk.tgz - ?
ssdp.pl - the rio receiver makes a query using this protocol to find out about its environment; in particular, it uses this to find the music web server.
